Answers to Graduated Problems

I do not provide answers to the Graduated Problems on a Theme. The reason is to promote mathematical argumentation and proof. If students get different solutions they need to justify their solution by explaining, arguing and proving their solution. Sometimes both parties can be correct as interpretation of the problem can differ. Students (and teachers) need to move beyond mathematics being right or wrong....

Timed Tests

Timed tests at primary level when students are learning to make sense of the number system and number operations create maths anxiety in the very students who are finding maths difficult.
